Activities include:
- Mapping and analyzing the reach of existing tobacco control advocacy networks in terms of membership (numbers) and geographical and thematic spread;
- Conducting a needs assessment to determine what assistance the ATCC can offer to networks;
- Developing questionnaires/reporting templates for advocacy networks on their yearly activities;
- developing a communications plan for regional communication;
- Linking networks and their members to activities being carried out under other objectives;
- Recruiting membership of the Framework Conventiona Alliance and the Africa Tobacco Control Alliance at two levels (in countries where there are no organizations involved in tobacco control, and in fields necessary for tobacco control where there are no members such as lawyers, economists, journalists, health professionals
